Your Local Auto Shop

Who Are We?

While the general concepts are the same for most automobiles, they all have their own quirks. We opened a specialty shop because we think a car owner is much better off bringing their vehicle to an independent repair shop that knows that specific vehicle from experience. While Subaru is our brand that puts the Guru in our name, we are also very familiar with Toyota, Acura, Honda, Hyundai, and Kia. This knowledge comes from dealership experience with these brands. We are here to keep owners informed about the overall health of their cars based on our knowing what to look for in common issues these brands may have.

Former Subaru senior master technician and shop Foreman, Logan Hoskins, has had over 18 years of experience with the Subaru brand. He is also accredited as a “Master Technician” from the group Automotive Service Excellence. He is a go to technician in Northwest Arkansas for Subaru specific questions and it is safe to say he puts the Guru in our name.

James Overbey, another technician we are happy to have with us has 10 years with the Subaru brand. Prior to Subaru, he spent a number of years with Hyundai and Acura service departments. All of this after 15 years working with Toyotas. He has received accreditations of Advanced Level Specialist, and Master Technician from Automotive Service Excellence, as well as being a former certified Master Diagnostic Technician with University of Toyota. He has over 40 years under his belt of working on cars.

Service Desk Manager and Co-Owner Justin Bulla also has many years of experience, also with the Subaru brand. From a start in the sales department, he worked his way around many different positions within a dealership from buyer, to inventory manager, to assisting in the preparation and reconditioning of vehicles for sale. While his hand hasn’t been on the wrench at a dealer, servicing and diagnosing car issues have always been a passion of his, in addition to customer service. He anchors the administrative and customer service end of SubieGurus.

Service Writer JT Litterell has worked with the Subaru brand for close to 9 years. He has always been a communicative link between the customer and the technician working on the car. He is very familiar with problems Subaru owners sometimes face, as well as all of the great parts about owning a Subaru. He came with us with a desire to help service customers wade through the sometimes difficult decisions that must be made when owning and maintaining a car.

Clay Ledbetter started with us in 2022. Being the son of one of the first Subaru Senior Master Technicians in Northwest Arkansas, he spent a lot of time growing up in shops. His career started with the brand in 08, and has been on the customer facing side of Subaru Service ever since. We are lucky to have his experience.

German Cervantes started with us in 2022 as well, coming in from 9 years with a Nissan shop. He brings knowledge of those vehicles and a eagerness to become well versed on other makes and models. He, too, is a Northwest Arkansas native.

We are ALL committed to providing the best possible service to their community and beyond!

Mission

Car owners need options. You shouldn’t have to drive too far to find someone who knows every part of your car. Some cars have unique engineering that an investment protecting owner hesitates to turn over to just anyone. Customers at SubieGurus can rest assured that their vehicle is being looked over and serviced by technicians that have brand experience beyond the scope of anyone else in the area. Customers can trust that the price they pay is not inflated to cover massive overhead some service centers have, and that if money can be saved on aftermarket parts, without sacrificing quality, that option will be available. When customers walk in the door at SubieGurus, they will be interacting with people who have dedicated their lives to one mission of providing these options at this full service center in Northwest Arkansas.

Goals

  1. Hold a reputation as a full service center that will always give advice with the best interest of the vehicle owner first and foremost.

  2. Become the most utilized dealer alternative service in Northwest Arkansas for brands in which we specialize.

  3. Become a pillar in the NWA community in terms of involvement and economic development.
